One of 4 winners from the US Plastics Pact sustainable packaging innovations awards this year announced at GreenBiz Group #circularity23. This innovation is an absolute game changer and can improve the sustainability of your packaging in a big way.

twistMist™ is a continuous dispensing technology that eliminates the need for pressurized tinplate, aluminum or plastic cans and allows brands to switch to recyclable plastics (HDPE, PET), metal, or glass bottles. APS says that the solution’s reusable head makes the system the only aerosol that allows refills, and that it can be reused for up to 10,000 spray cycles.

“We wanted to challenge the paradigm by asking ourselves: 'How could we create a continuous spray experience that consumers love so much in aerosols without all the negatives associated with pressurised packaging?'” said Brad Barron, chief innovation officer of Alternative Packaging Solutions (APS) and a P&G packaging alum.

On June 6, the U.S. Plastics Pact (U.S. Pact) announced the 2023 Sustainable Packaging Innovation Award winners with U.S. Pact Activator Walmart at GreenBiz’s Circularity Event. "The 2023 award winners represent circular solutions to packaging formats that have typically presented numerous challenges. These packaging solutions not only meet the design guidelines but they were developed with the customer and consumer experience in mind.” said Emily Tipaldo, U.S. Plastics Pact Executive Director.

Global aerosol dispensing specialists LINDAL Group is partnering with technology company Alternative Packaging Solutions (APS) to develop miniMist, a new and globally patented continuous dispensing system that offers a reusable and sustainable alternative to the existing aerosol format.
